The Advantages of Seafood Over Meat


Being healthy is one top priority of most people, especially on to their loved ones. As the saying goes "health is wealth", which means your health is your only asset to the road on being wealthy. Wealth is not jus money for if your health gives up your money stays still. So, why prefer skipping meals because of work while you have a choice of choosing from many dishes just around the corner? Now, about the dishes one should pick. Most dishes on the menu are mainly consisting of meat.

There are only few dishes that consisted of sea foods and vegetables. The main course of most restaurants is mainly meat. Yes, meat has been with us ever since dinosaurs lived in this world. But, ever wondered why they got extinct? That is because they ate it raw. It may sound funny but it can be true through Science facts. Seafood is also a meat. But traditionally, seafood does not count as a meat.

 According to research and some definition, seafood is also from animals that have flesh, can feel pain and die horribly for them to be in our plates. That is why they see seafood as meat. Seafood is more delicious and has more vitamins than we thought than meat. Meat is yet more expensive than seafood. But seafood is more affordable and much more delicious than meat.

Many of us wanted meat rather than seafood because it much more delicious as we thought it was. But don't you know the power of living animals under that sea water? Even a tiny seashell can give us as much minerals and vitamins as the content of the capsule that you are drinking everyday. Some of us can't see that, because we grow up with meat on our dishes.

 The fact is that if people love meat then how about other living things, I mean the smallest ones. Even though meat recipes need much more of cooking and spices, there are still other microorganisms that won't die on extreme heat. Also most of the diseases causing bacteria are found in meat. Bacteria like the E. coli, which can cause urinary tract infection.

Too much meat a day can make your digestive system turn upside down. Same goes with the sea food, although it also has bacteria, the recipes for the sea foods are good enough to kill the bacteria for their flesh are not as tough as the meat. Meaning, the bacteria living in them are instantly killed while cooking. As Filipinos sea food recipe goes, they it the flesh raw but they soak it first in a vinegar. See how simple they kill the bacteria? The big difference between the recipes of meat and sea foods is money.

Meat needs more spices and anything else that makes it tastier while sea food only needs some spices and salt. It doesn't need more ingredients in order for it to be good. Best example for this is a crab recipe. It only has to be boiled and some toppings then a best main dish to serve for the family.

Not only it is simple to be cooked and inexpensive, it also is a world class dish served to guests and VIP's. To top that it is also healthy for sea foods are rich in iodine, which can help you prevent mental deficiency, goiter, and the number one problem of all, weight gain.
